"Very abrupt & rude receptionist !"

About: Cheltenham General Hospital / Ophthalmology

I do not like posting negative reviews, but felt that the response I received when I telephoned Opthalmology admissions today to discuss an appointment made for my husband was unacceptable. The female that answered the phone,began with a sigh (as if I was an inconvenience) and was incredibly hostile and abrupt in her manner. It left me wondering how she would have dealt with someone who for example,had a hearing problem,disability, or was elderly and just needed reassurance prior to their admission.

I have never experienced this type of response before at Cheltenham general hospital and feel this is unacceptable. This suggests to me,that this particular member of staff, needs training in customer service. It costs nothing to be polite, no matter how busy you may be!
