I arrived at MLU on 11/2/18 and planned for a water birth after a low risk pregnancy. Unfortunately after hours of labour it seemed my baby was back to back and I was transferred to the delivery suite. I was extremely nervous but wanted to thank all of the staff involved for calming me down and reassuring me everything would be ok. After forceps didn’t work I had to have an emergency c section and needed a blood transfusion following my surgery. It was the most traumatic experience of my life but the staff at new cross were absolutely amazing and I can’t thank them enough for looking after me with the care they did and getting my baby boy here safely. After a short stay on HDU we were transferred to D10 where the support was brilliant but I particularly wanted to thank the staff on the delivery suite and in theatre.
