"A & E Bad Experience"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

Taken to A&E as I was unable to walk due my back problem and a internal stomach problem and I was in absolute agony. I was seen by a doctor with total lack of empathy or sympathy. I tried to explain exactly what had happened and also my history of on going serious stomach problems, but the doctor wasn't in the slightest bit interested, all it seemed he wanted to do was give me pain killers and get me out of there before four hours were up.

All he kept saying was you've pulled your back it will be better in a few weeks, it's amazing that the doctor could tell without a proper examination. I asked for a second opinion and a great doctor came along and organised a bladder scan and an x ray, this doctor listened to what me and my wife had to say and was very understanding.

How do you employ doctors like the first one I seen, I think they need to go on a course to learn how to talk to people. I felt very let down and very sad for anybody else who ever has any dealings with this doctor good luck you will need it.
