"Poor accident and emergency department"

About: King's Mill Hospital / Accident and emergency

After being taken into the department on 16/02,I can only describe the department as shambles.

I went in after a bad head injury and told the nurse I needed a wee and she came in and put a sample pot on my bed and said we need a sample.

I couldn’t even stand up by myself, as I was leaving the room another nurse cane to give me some pain relief and just gave me morphine and put me back on the bed.

She got me a bed pan and I was left with this for 30 minutes before anyone removed it.

I pressed the buzzer again later for more pain relief and it took them 20 minutes to come to my room.

I had a ct scan and waited for my results 40 minutes later a nurse came in and took my blood pressure and said you can go home.

No follow up, no seeing the doctor, no aftercare.

I left the department hardly being able to stand and feeling very un well.

The nurse who told me to go didn’t care, I told her my left side didn’t feel right but she didn’t make any comment apart from you can go.
