"Long wait"

About: Northern General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was taken to A&E as I was suicidal. I waited from 3am to 8.30am and didn't speak to a mental health worker once - in fact, I was told I wasn't a priority. In addition, I asked how long it would be until I saw someone, the answer every single time was "in an hour". Terrible experience, but where else are you meant to go in that state?
