"An Outstanding Hospital - An examplar for..."

I have now visited this hospital 3 times. A consultation, a pre-op and an Operation. Having had three previous operations in the last 8 years in other hospitals (i realise this doesn't make me an expert) this is very simply the best managed hospital I have ever visited.

I was told some time ago there are no bad staff members just bad managers so it must be that the inverse also applies and if so explains why every member of staff seems happy in their work and only too keen to help patients.

Every different department has an appropriate waiting procedure with people managing it who care enough to ensure it works and this is backed up by outstanding signage, quality facilities and well schooled knowledgable staff.

Everything done in this hospital gives you confidence at a time when you need it most and this hospital shows more than any other that it is not endless amounts of money that is needed in the NHS it is quality management to deliver outstanding results.

My thanks to the people of St Helens hospital from the top to the lady who works on the stand in the hall way who helps people find things without payment. You are all a credit to your caring trade.
