"Coronary Care"

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital / Cardiology

My Angina attack was the third one I had. My doctor sent me to hospital. I arrived at 6pm and left at 12am. During that time I was triarged within half an hour then about half an hour later I was taken to the cardiac care area and interviewed by a doctor. He decided to arrange for a cannular put in, bloods taken and an ECG done. These were done in due course. About midnight the doctor came back and explained that from my previous two visits and results of the previous tests plus this lot of tests, that what I had was "stable Angina" which can be managed between myself, my GP, and medication. With an open invitation to go to A+E if needed as well. I have got to praise all the staff on duty that night. They were very thouough and respectful, and how they all kept a smile on their faces, I will never know, because they were rushed off their feet dealing with a great amount of patients. After being in the hospital a total of six hours, I can honestly say, I witnessed a lot of doctor's, nurses and aids, trying to keep people well and safe. They worked remarkably efficiently. I would like to say a big thank you to them all.
