"Hip replacement wait"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Was due to get hip  done about November had my pre opp  said it should be within six weeks they sent me letter to apologize I have not heard a thing from them  am in constant pain and trying to get through the day at my work, am self employed and can't take time off, I started someone to give me a hand back in November thinking I was getting my operation. I think that it is a total disgrace you have to wait for so long especially when I pay fortune's in tax and national insurance I was going to go private am in that much pain but can't afford that amount of money especially if there any complications. I think there needs to be something done about the NHS, I don't blame the staff I think there hands are tied it's the government

Dear listenqc88

I am sorry for any delay you have experienced regarding your Orthopaedic care. If you contact Yvonne Ross, Patient Affairs Manager on Tel: 01698 366 558 and pass on your details I will look into the delays you have described and when we can arrange admission for your treatment.

Kind Regards
