"Fantastic service"

About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

Hi

My father attended the hospital on Monday after having a nasty fall and banging his head and hip. We thought his hip was broken and were all extremely concerned. Having entered the hospital we were quickly seen by a triage nurse and assessed, a very swift and professional service. Waited 40 mins as there were others in the room. Were taken through to A and E and made comfortable on a bed. Everything was extremely clean. Plenty of staff all of which appeared to be busy, nobody standing around. Had a fantastic porter and a male nurse. Had many scans and examinations. Eventually ended up with help from the physio and some crutches to get home. The physio advice was excellent and top class.

Every single person I spoke to that day was professional and caring, I could not fault them. I have run large teams of people and couldn't see many things that I would have changed that day.

If you listen to the hype and the media then you might believe the NHS is falling apart. Well, from what I saw that is not the case. It was slick and professional. I did see people in the A and E who in my opinion were wasting the hospitals time, they could have gone to their GP or the local pharmacist.

I think its an absolute disgrace that staff have to pay for their car parking, thats the quickest way to de motivate your staff.

A big thank you to all the staff from the bottom to the top, you are doing a great job and I am proud of you all.

I am a local resident with absolutely no family or friends working in that hospital !
