"My Mother"

I am writing this on behalf of my 94 year old Mother.

She is housebound, going deaf and very forgetful.

I sort out all her medication for her once a month and fill the dosset boxes.

I can't tell you how many times there is something missing from her prescription with no explanation at all.

The times I have had to ring them to leave out another prescription, I have lost count.

To top it all today - no pain patches, apparentlly they have stopped issuing the ones she has always had so now she is given different ones, only they have not bothered to substitute them automatically.

Just 'phoned to ask for a prescription to be left out and I can't even do that any more as they don't take requests over the 'phone.

I have never had to deal with any surgery as unhelpful as this one - I work in a hospital for a consultant so deal with many surgeries.

I am told to ring the Pharmacy to see if they can issue instead.
