Arrived early by taxi at 07:30 because of the cab firm's school run commitments, for cataract surgery. Sat in the main reception waiting room and was immediately greeted by a staff member, lights turned on and said good morning to by all passing admin, cleaning and medical staff while I was waiting until the reception staff started at 08:00. So often being ignored is the usual way of things, but not at the Yeatman. It makes a huge difference to an apprehensive patient.
In the Castleton Unit, the very professional, reassuring and above all cheerful medical team who sorted me out with my new lens with the minimum of fuss and no stress. All done in about 2½ hours.
Thank you to all concerned from a grateful NHS customer. Please forgive me if I don't make a habit of this.
