"So appreciative of the treatment received...."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary / Neurology

In this time of so many complaints being laid at the doorstep of the NHS I write to thank and compliment them hugely.

I was an outpatient in the MRI Unit, yesterday 23.01.18.

Unfortunately as I am claustrophobic, I have to be sedated in order for me to be able to endure the procedure.

From the moment that a nurse called my name to go through to the changing area to the moment that a Radiologist accompanied me back to the waiting area to meet my husband, the treatment that I received was exemplary.

I wasn't made to feel a nuisance, as I required sedation, in fact a Radiologist (I think) sat and talked to me, listening to my concerns, followed by doing everything within her power to make my visit to the unit as stress free as possible.

The staff member who administered the sedative was again , patient, understanding caring and totally professional.

There was a second Radiologist, who chatted to me as if we were old friends, doing everything within her power to make me feel relaxed and cared for.

Whilst these people are employed to undertake a caring professional role within the NHS, I personally, feel that their treatment towards me yesterday, far exceeded their personal work remit, for this I am truly appreciative.

Thank you, MRI Unit.
