I was discharged from Newbridge House on Monday. After waiting for several hours for the staff to sort out medication, I was handed enough medication for the next day only and told that the community mental health team would bring all the rest of my medication.
I repeated this information to the community nurse on her first visit on the Tuesday (next day,) stating I would need medication for the following day.
WEDNESDAY - the nurse arrived without my medication !! he phoned his office but they denied knowing anything about the meds. He promised he would get it sorted and bring the medication back to my house by the afternoon 1 o'clock ... I am still waiting! ( 1.25) So i phoned the community mental health team and asked them when I would receive the medication considering I should have had my meds at 8 am!.They have blamed Newbridge House ,saying that they hadn't told the pharmacy what was needed and where to deliver it.I was also told I would be referred to Meriden Family therapy in Kings heath and I would receive a phone call from them for an appointment but when i phoned Meriden they didn't seem to know anything about a referral and explained that there system didn't actually work like that. I am very upset that people who are so vulunerable can be treated like this! I am appalled at the service for Mental Health.
