"Staff excellent, despite the obvious shortage..."

About: Lincoln County Hospital

Visited a and e today , I had tried to avoid clogging the system up unnecessarily, having had an accident a few days ago and been seen by a paramedic at the time who said to go to my local a and e if I had no improvement. I left the decision for a few days before making an appointment with my doctor to check my damaged leg, my doctor then sent me straight to a and e to check for a bread. I waited for 3 hours before being seen in triage. I am not complaining about the wait as I understand that the facility is overstretched, but surely it would have made more sense for my doctor to just arrange an x ray and me not end up clogging up the department.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, it continually helps us to improve our service.

I am sorry you had such a long wait to be seen in A and E, it was clearly a particularly busy day, thank you for your understanding in this matter.

I will pass on your comments to the rest of the team.

Regards

Terri Reeve
