What I liked
the Freeman Hospital is a specialist cardiology centre, hence my transfer from Carlisle late on a Sunday night. Whilst they are clearly extremely professional and proficient when it comes to treating cardiac conditions, the staff do so much more than just provide great medical care. The friendliness, patience and throughtfulness shown by every doctor, nurse, cleaner, cook etc was fantastic. Having a heart attack is fairly stressful (!) but the lengths the staff go to in order to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed really aids recovery. Every table, injection, procedure was fully and patiently explained. The rehab nurse was thorough and gave as much of their time as was needed. If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself having heart problems, the Freeman is definitely the place to be
