"Seeing me as a whole person and not just the illness"

About: Centre for Integrative Care (formerly Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital)

(as the patient),

I felt as If I couldn’t breathe. I could not go out, answer the door or the phone.

Thanks to the patience, perseverence and kindness and listening to me was one part of the remedy. Seeing me as a whole person and not just the illness was the second part. Last but not least the Homeopathic Medicine. Which served to start me on a path to feeling well, where conventional medicine had failed.

I was told by a consultant this condition was going to remain with me for the rest of my days. And he was right. However I can manage it better and that’s the most important part. There’s room for both conventional and Homeopathic Medicine, they should be complementing each other.

The focus is supposed to be on doing no harm and endeavoring to heal the patient where the situation will allow. We need open minds and not Closed. We need forward thinking approaches to how best we serve the patient.
