My son is 5 months old and attended the GP for his 8 week check where we was informed we would need to be referred to urinology at the UCLH 3 months later we are still waiting, after having chased the referral up a number of times I find out that the referral was not done and have been promised it would be done. We went for a speedster appointment as baby dropped in centile so was told we was going to be referred to a paediatrician 3 weeks later I still hadn't heard anything so I called the out patient paediatrician department at Whittington myself to see if referral had been received which I was told it hadent. So again I called the GP surgery and chased this up not just once but a number of time on both occasions. I spoke to receptionist who kindly sorted this out for me we haven't had an appointment yet but appearantly both referral have been received. I'm waiting for my appointment to come through then changing my GP I can't have my child health put at risk because of errors like this. However getting an appointment or a call back from the doctors it's pretty good especially for my son or when I was expecting.
