"My care"

I have been attending Southmead hospital as an inpatient and outpatient mainly for issues relating to my respiratory conditions for the past 4 months. During my 3 inpatient stays varying from 2 days to 1 week I found the staff to be professional, friendly and felt I was looked after very well. Of course the staff are busy and you may have to be patient but they do a fab job. The only criticism I have is that on one occasion I was discharged but there was a lack of communication between the doctor and nursing staff which delayed my discharge which in turn might have meant someone could have had my bed earlier. The food is excellent and a varied choice for everyone. As an outpatient who visits every other week for treatment, the staff are very friendly and professional and go above and beyond to ensure my treatment is done as promptly and efficiently as possible, again they are busy but this does not affect the way in which I receive treatment. In conclusion, a little bit of patience and appreciation of the job they do can go a long way.
