"FAU, Delivery and foxglove maternity 23/12/17"

About: Manor Hospital / Maternity

I can not thank the team at Manor hospital enough for the safe arrival and care of my self and my daughter on 23/12/17. First attended manor Fetal assessment unit and was cared for by a great team including midwifes and Doctor.

I then moved to delivery where i was induced and cared for by another great team, ensuring my every need was met and checking on myself and baby continously. When the emergency decision was made to go into theatre, although i was quite scared i was reasurred by members of the theatre team and my baby girl was safely delivered and we were surrounded buy our loved ones within the hour. Visits from the surgeon and other theatre staff made me feel overwhelmed and so thankful for them, taking time to wish my daughter and I well.

I was then cared for by 2 or 3 different midwives on delivery, who took time to talk through my c section recovery, aid my partner in dressing and feeding our daughter for the 1st time and in general show an interest im myself and my new family, aswell as sharing their knowledge and past experiences. They were on hand for anything needed and reasurred myself and my partner continously if we needed anything just to ask.

I was then moved to foxglove where I stayed for 2 nights. One midwife in particular I can't thank enough for her encouragment and help. Taking time to talk through breast feeding and any concerns I had.

Everyone I encountered at the Manor hospital during my stay added to my experience in one way or another, which i am so thankful for. Whether it was a Gp, surgeon, midwife, hca or cleaning staff everyone greeted me and made me feel relaxed and had such great positivity which made my time there very memorable in such a good way, considering it was also one of my hardest experiences in life, due to birth not going to plan.

Can't thank everyone enough for giving my daughter the best start to life and making her mommy feel so special and supported in everyway, a credit to our nhs.

Thank you for your kind words of appreciation and I am pleased to hear that both you and your daughter are doing well after such a worrying start. I will ensure that your compliment is passed on to the teams whom I know will be pleased with the feedback.
