"On the whole, a great surgery"

About: Kirkburton Health Centre

No surgery is going to be perfect but Kirkburton are doing a really good job of managing so many patients. The only issue I have found is when ordering prescriptions. I’ve been told I can’t request them over the front desk, it has to be online or on a written form. I have no problem with this but I would be concerned how the elderly, disabled or people without internet access.

Many thanks for your comments. With regards to ordering prescriptions most surgeries now do not accept orders over the telephone now. We do accept prescription requests over the desk in written format or using the side slip if a repeat medication. The reason for changing the process is that errors can be made when taken over the phone so it helps to avoid inaccurate scripts been made which would cause an inconvenience to the patient. With regards to the elderly, disabled and patients with no internet access there are procedures in place to ensure that they can request their prescriptions. I hope this reassures you but if you would like to discuss this further please contact the surgery. Many thanks again for your positive feedback.
