"Abdominal pains"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

I arrived at the hospital AROS nd midnight and had the usual blood pressure tests etc.

The waiting time is currently 6 hours.

I’m tempted to empty my money box and see if I have enough for the newcastle Nuffield ( I am currently unemployed)

I think I’ll be given a couple of paracetamol and told to leave.

I’m totally shocked at what i have witnessed here.

Dear Gavin,

I’m really sorry that you had a poor experience at our Emergency Department. We always aim to see our patients in under 4 hours, but unfortunately we are experiencing incredible pressure over the winter period with our hospitals caring for many, many patients, and this has led to longer waits. Of course this is not ideal, but this is a problem nationally. Please be assured we are doing all we can do to get our patients seen as quickly as possible, ensuring that the care being provided is not jeopardised in the process.

I do hope you received the care that you needed.

Kind regards,

Jessica
