"Life Changing Service"

I cannot recommend the service I received at Folly Hall Mills high enough. After years of seeking support from different services in Kirklees, various counsellors, CBT and even paying for private therapy I had not even got close to dealing with issues from my past that impacted on my daily life. I was referred to what was then the Adult Psychological Therapy Services and although I waited 12 weeks for therapy to start after the initial assessment it was well worth the wait. The therapy I received was exactly what I needed. I felt like the Dr listened to me without judgement and was genuinely invested in me as a person, supporting and helping me overcome the barriers I had built to leading the life I wanted to lead. The therapy I received under the care of Folly Hall and my Dr was second to none and it was truly life changing. I have broken some very destructive habits and now live a better life because of the care I received here.

I also have to say that during my 16 weeks using the service the reception staff were always helpful and polite and whilst waiting for my appointment I witnessed the support they gave other members of the community every single week. Examples include going above and beyond to find out what was upsetting a person who was clearly confused and then booking a taxi for them to get the safely home. On another occasion I remember the reception staff dealing with a member of the public being quite difficult, almost to the point of being verbally abusive towards the staff. They spoke to him very calmly and took the time to listen to his problems and then offered him a solution in a calm manner.

After reading several negative reviews on this page I can honestly say I'm shocked as I can truly say I have never received anything but the best of care whilst at Folly Hall Mills.
