I phoned this afternoon as my eye had been bloodshot for a couple of weeks and was starting to get worse over the last couple of days. Unsure of where to go for advice and I could not get into see my GP for at least a week!
The lady who initially took my call was polite and asked a series of questions regarding my eye. A nurse called me back within 20mins and gave me some fantastic advice over the phone, prompting a visit to boots pharmacy to get myself some drops. Whilst there the pharmacist also took a look at my eye and backed up the nurses advice.
This has made me realise that a visit to the GP or eye infirmary isn't always necessary?? Never thought of seeing a pharmacist before for the more trivial stuff?
