"Son beaten up at football match"

After seeing the reviews of A & E I thought that I should write a review of the hospital.

Our experience is several months ago but I did not know I could write a review.

My son was beaten up at a football match.

I got him to A & E and was told that there were several hours waiting time. After waiting for 10 mins a lady and her teenage daughter came out of triage to say that they were told they would have to wait 7 hours they thought it better to go to their doctor in the morning, well yes I did as well she had a swollen little finger, why A & E????? There were so many people in and out sorry could over hear their problems and most of them should have waited and gone to their GP in the morning.

My son suddenly said that he was feeling sick and dizzy, spoke to the receptionist and within a few minutes he was being seen by a nurse who was concerned and called a doctor, he was sent straight for a scan to his brain and then the follow up by the doctor was brilliant.

Please don't bash these wonderful people maybe consider if your visit to A & E really is necessary
