"Excellent treatment following an ankle injury"

I twisted my ankle last week when I slipped on ice. After taking advice from 111 and keeping it rested and elevated it had not improved after 6 days so I went to the MIU at approximately 8.30am this morning. I was assessed by a nurse within twenty minutes and then went for an x-ray approximately half an hour later. The result was that my leg was broken just about ankle. The injury was described clearly and a temporary pot was placed on the leg. After some coaching about how to use crutches and a clear explanation as to the next steps for my treatment I was out and home by 10.30am.

Excellent service and the 3 nurses I saw could not have been nicer or any more professional.

I had delayed going in the hope that my ankle would improve and not wanting to be waiting around for hours given the recent news regarding A&E waiting times and some of the negative reviews on this site. However I am very glad I went and would highly recommend the service of this clinic for treatment of this nature.
