"Disappointing - should not be accepting new..."

Having recently moved, I needed to register with a new surgery and this was the one in my area.

I was unable to book an any suitable appointments online, so called the surgery. After 30 attempts, I got through. Tried to make an appointment to see the nurse for a couple of weeks time, but was told I needed to call back then as the surgery can`t book appointments so far in advance and usually give appointments for the next 48 hrs. Fair enough I thought. I then asked to book an appointment to see a Dr for another more urgent issue and was offered an appointment for 10 days later. When I said this was unsuitable as I needed to see a Dr sooner, I was advised to go to emergency care! So a huge contradiction. Either this surgery offers appointments within 48 hrs or it doesn`t. It can`t seem to decide. I`m also not sure how I am meant to pre-empt being ill in 10 days time for when the appointment was offered to me!

I am really unclear what services this surgery actually offers? Having used urgent care services whilst my registration was being processed, I don`t see what the point of me registering with this surgery was if I have no choice but to go back to hospital.

The surgery clearly does not have the capacity to meet the demands of the area and should not be accepting new patients! Staff could also do with some training on how not to be so passive aggressive! Do not recommend
