"Awful CDU visit"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

My girlfriend had been suffering from severe dizzy spells and nausea for a couple of weeks and we had to go to a walk in clinic because it became really bad on Christmas Eve. The walk in clinic referred us to the hospital, the clinical decision unit. The entire experience was awful, the wait times were outrageous. The doctor on duty was unhelpful and unprofessional. She stated my girlfriend needed different antibiotics but never prescribed her any. The doctor was unwilling to answer questions and was difficult to understand. The other patients were also extremely disgruntled. I have never been so disappointed, they just sent us home without any help, telling us to go to the GP to be referred to a neurologist if the problem persists. The issue hasn’t gone away and my girlfriend is still really struggling with the severe dizziness. I would never recommend this hospital to anybody.
