"Gold star to Ward 16 - a truly special team"

My mother has just spent two separate full days, two weeks apart in Ward 16 for a procedure under the brilliant care of a Consultant.

As the procedure and her day long stay was spent in the Assessment Unit I was able to stay with my mother for the day each time.

This was particularly welcome as I live some 300 miles away.

Without exception, the quality of care received from every - and I mean every - single member of the nursing and ancillary staff was truly exemplary.

Nothing was too much trouble and all questions were answered frankly and concisely.

Despite how busy the ward was on both days, all staff still managed to provide a very personal level of care without any feeling of being too busy to deal with any questions etc.

I can’t thank to the Consultant and Ward 16 enough for the wonderful care provided to my mother.
