"A plan for the future"

About: Hounslow IAPT

(as a service user),

After a rough start with the recovery team, i was eventually referred to the right mental health service. The nurse and psychiatrist I've seen have been friendly, listened to my situation and my concerns, and talked to me as an adult without being patronising or dismissive. They've been honest with me and I've left my appointments with a clear and realistic understanding of what the next steps are and what to do if I need more help.

All of this is a huge improvement on all of my previous experiences with mental health treatment, both as a service user and a support worker. I feel like there's hope and a plan for the future.
