I'm actually going to look to move surgery in the new years after a series of problems from their receptionist being rude to a Dr not listening, interrupting and then messing everything up. The person I spoke to about this was ok but also wasn't understanding what I was explaining to them.

Basically, I went to see a certain Dr who has now left the surgery, I went for 3 different things, 1. to asked to be referred to somewhere to have the diagnoses properly confirmed, they said no. 2. to have another health problem checked which they said they'd refer me to 3. for a med review.

The result was because the doctor didn't listen they pretty much wasted my time and made me ill, they sent me a letter about something I hadn't even asked about. In the appointment they said they'd refer me to somewhere for a problem I have, they didn't, they then put on my medical records that I needed to go into seeing someone to see how to proceed when that's what I was doing at the appointment with them in the first place. I don't know why they've done what they have. Also in the letter, they said they were looking into something I'd never even asked them to look into.. so because of not listening to me and butting in, they got the whole thing wrapped around their neck and looked into the wrong thing and made assumptions. I tried to explain this to someone via email.. because the Dr had put I needed to go back in for an appointment, they are all insisting I go back before they will refer me knowing full well I suffer from severe anxiety and find it hard to go into their surgery, they think that me going in for the first appointment and asking to be put in a room to wait will help... I'm sorry but it won't help at all. I'll do as suggested and if I still don't get the correct help I'll be making a complaint and moving surgery.

PS - No I can't call to speak to someone about it because I'm not very comfortable on the phone, I've tried speaking to someone via email and have pretty much gotten nowhere because they don't understand what the Dr has done and what I am trying to explain. Maybe Dr's appointments ought to be recorded with the Dr's and patients consent so they can be referred back to in situations like this.

Hi, we hope that, having now spoken with you personally, that our practice manager has been able to reassure you that your concerns have been fully addressed and that we are now moving forward in a positive direction.

As a practice we are always willing to listen and resolve any problems that may arise.
