"very bad reception staff"

About: Dr A Hamid

cannot get an appointment if you are honest and truthful

my blood results for gout come back positive but surgery told me they are negative

nurse told mr i need 24 hour blood pressure monitor i got appointment with nurse to give me one when i went on appointment they told me they have no nurse as they have been sacked i had to wait several weeks to get one which was faulty

when i order prescriptions they have stopped doing them over the phone and advise to order online or in surgery when ordering online you are restricted and when you call to enquire they claim no knowledge of your required medication

with gout i could not walk and online prescription ordering did not work i rang surgery for medication they refused and told me to come to surgery

Doctors are quite good apart from one particular doctor who says go to another surgery

staff need training

Dear Mr Inayat

Thank you for your review on NHS Choices.

Whilst we are happy for patients to use NHS Choices to leave comments and we do take all comments and reviews seriously unfortunately we cannot address medical matters relating to patients due to this being a public platform.

Following your review I feel, there are issues which you have mentioned which need clarifying

The practice has never had to sack a practice nurse and at no stage has the practice been without a practice Nurse.

Whilst the practice is encouraging patients to use the online facilities for booking and ordering prescriptions, the practice has taken into consideration patients who are unable to use the online facilities, and made alternate arrangements for them.

The practice started to make patients aware in October 2016, that we would no longer be taking prescription requests over the phone, but would be happy to take the current request.

When ordering medication online, the facility will only allow you to order medication which is on your repeat prescription.

If you are requesting medication which is not on your repeat prescription, there is a box on the system in which you can put your request, the request will be reviewed by the Doctor and only be issued at the Doctor’s discretion.

Unfortunately I am unable to comment on the remark you have made about your blood results on a public platform, put having looked at your records your remark is contradictory, I will be more than happy to discuss this with you at the practice.

In relation to your comment staff needs training, I would like to clarify all reception staff hold a qualification in customer services and care navigation.
