I have been a service user of substance misuse services on and off for 8 years. I am just at a point where I am (or feel I am) making good progress towards fixing up my life. I want to thank all the people who work in these services for their hard work they do to provide us - often unmanageable but desperately in need addicts - with the free care to support us in recovery. I hear many addicts complain about services and staff but I think they forget that they are getting support for FREE and are often a nightmare to deal with and often the staff bend over backwards to accommodate them. I wanted to take the time to thank Tina and Mary at STaRS Aylesbury and all the people who work hard to help us beat the cruel affliction that is addiction.

Thanks for you sharing your experience and feedback.

It is great to hear how useful you have found our service, and it is great to hear you feel like you are making positive steps forward in your recovery. Remember to take each day as a new day on your own personal road to recovery.

We really do try to be responsive and caring to all service users regardless of their complexity. We aim to live our values throughout our services, especially important for me is that all our staff remain non-judgmental regardless of how people present in service. What is important is that they have come through the door, so regardless of the problem we are here to help and support.


I will ensure Tina, Mary and all staff and volunteers hear your valuable feedback, I am so lucky to lead such a fantastic team.

Continue attending all we have on offer and the fellowships that run for our hubs.
