I attended A&E in Hairmyres hospital in Nov 2017, due to suffering from breathlessness and chest pain and then admitted to Ward 3.
Both Doctor and Nurse who looked after me in A&E were excellent, patient and empathetic. They took the time to explain what was happening, what tests I was to get and re-assured me all the way.
Staff in Ward 3 were also excellent and the care and attention I received was exceptional. Although the ward was busy staff were attentive and professional at all times. Staff again re-assured me and made sure I was aware of any tests/procedures I would be having.
I had a stent fitted in the Cath Lab, again staff were brilliant taking the time to calm me down and explaining the process and how long I would need to stay in hospital.
From start to finish the staff are a credit to themselves, to the hospital and NHS Lanarkshire.
