"Cancelled my apt without telling me"

About: Guy's Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

I cancelled something important this morning and travelled 1 hour to make this ENT appointment as the hospital had been rescheduling for months, and I really wanted to talk with the ENT doctor. When I arrived, they made me wait half an hour before telling me the doctor was performing surgery the whole day so couldn't see me, despite the fact I had received a text the day before reminding me to attend the appointment.

I am shocked the NHS can make this kind of error at the expense of wasting their patient's time and money to travel. It shows the department doesn't care about the problems of the patient or even show common decency of informing the patient their appointment has been cancelled unexpectedly.
