I am sad to hear that you do not feel that the nursing team care and support you, do not listen to you and that you are not involved in care planning. We, in the National High Secure Mental Health Services for Women feel very strongly that patient involvement is very important for progressing your recovery, improving your experience of our services and for continuously enhancing the quality of care that is provided. I shall therefore forward your concerns to your ward manager and clinical team.

I shall also forward the request to have mittens to the clinical team. I hope though that you and your named nurse will work collaboratively to find alternative coping skills to mittens.

Dancing is very much part of our activities programme and is also included in our celebrations. For example we have had free styling, Zumba and belly dancing. Please do join us for the festive celebrations whereby patients and staff will be interacting with other, singing and dancing.

Thank you

Annett
