"Day Surgery unit"

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

I was admitted to the Day surgery unit on November 6th for a septoplasty under the care of a surgeon.

All the staff in the day unit showed a high level of care and commitment to the profession.

It was obvious that they all worked as a cohesive team.

My nurse in particular was a very happy individual who showed dedication and attentiveness to those in their care.

The anaesthetist too had a caring attitude towards me as did the nursing staff during the preparation for the procedure.

Thank you to the surgeons who briefed me on the procedure and helped to allay my fears.

The recovery room staff were calm and quietly spoken and they too ensured that I was comfortable before having me transferred back to the day unit. A positive experience
