"Ward 2a - ACDF Operation 6th November 2017"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Neurosurgery

I was admitted to ward the neurosurgical unit to undergo ACDF surgery.

My consultant went above and beyond in their care an amazing person.

The staff on Ward 2a were wonderful and the care was outstanding, i felt very safe and secure in their care both the day and night staff. The student nurses were equally as good in their care of me and i was very impressed by how competant they were for just 18 months into training.

I wanted to write this review to reassure anyone who is facing this surgery that they are going to the best place, i was very apprehensive prior to admission, but not at any time did I feel any apprehension just safe.

This is a pleasure to read thank you so much for finding a moment and taking the trouble to post your feedback on NHS Choices.

We're so glad to read that you felt safe and secure, both during the day and during the night (when our patients tell us they often feel a little more apprehensive or worried than during the daytime hours).

We will be happy to pass your kind comments on to the management team for Neurosurgery as well as the ward manager and Matron for ward 2a who will be delighted to share with their team.
