My brother has a brain tumour and has turned down a scan for fear of not being able to breath when left lying flat on his back due to COPD. We had to sedate him with tablets off his GP so by the time we got there for his scan, in the dark, in a city centre we had never been to before, parking up on the only car park we could find at the time and running out of time......... we were stressed to say the least.
We got him into his wheelchair bear in mind he is 15 stone, tried to push him over the bridge, but struggled I am 77 and hubby 83. when this young man came and said let me push him for you, he took us straight to the entrance into clarendon suite. I just hugged him we were so grateful to him. the lady in the unit who books everybody in and hung on for us as we were now late and was so kind and never once said your late and I should finish earlier than this she simply got on with it and booked him in.
The MRI girls in the unit itself were the kindest most understanding we have ever come across as they did their best to get him laid down but managed to raise his head just enough so he wasnt gasping, as he had done in the Harrogate unit where they told him not to be so soft!! They were all stars and did their best to put him at ease. He was so relieved it was all over and on the way home he sang every bit of the way!
