"Bilateral hip replacement"

Duchy was recommended to me by my Physiotherapist after all efforts to improve my mobility were failing.

The x-ray confirmed a severe deterioration in my hips. When speaking to the referral team other hospital were offered but I insisted I was prepared to wait if necessary to see the consultant of my choice at Duchy.

My meeting with the consultant was efficient and informative. I was immediately put at ease with their pleasant nature.

The appointment system was accommodating and the lead up to my operations went very smoothly with the group physiotherapy sessions and pre-med.

With each of my operations I had a very comfortable stay in a single en-suite room.

The anaesthetist and surgeon dealt with all concerns in a wonderfully kind manner. The care team were amazing and responded to my needs really quickly.

The food was excellent and served by very happy and accommodating staff.

I am now three months from the operation on my second hip and people can't believe I've had a double hip replacement.

Much of this due to my wonderful surgeon who I can't thank enough.

Life for me is now great and I am looking forward to getting back to my some of my former activities.
