"Right hemicolectomy due to adenocarcinoma of the colon"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as a service user),

Doctor

Doctor

Had stomach pains and anaemia which eventually led to a hospital referral. After C.T scan and colonoscopy, I was told I had a tumour in my colon. 6 weeks later I had an operation described above. I was on the Enhanced Recovery Programme. I had the operation on Monday and came home on Thursday. I now await further biopsy results to see if any further treatment is necessary. I had keyhole surgery.  So far, the care & attention I have had has been excellent.
