"Hospital Prescription"

About: Glenfield Hospital / Diabetic medicine

I have CKD and BP at the top end of Stage 2. It is important to receive prescriptions regularly. This has not been the case. In September it took 5 trips including one to the hospital to complete that month's medicines, going without until I did. In October I was only offered 3 out of 5 medicines that I declined to accept. I have therefore been without medicines since mid-October. Today I have been offered a three month supply of one of the missing medicines but not the other. I have resigned myself to going through winter without medication.

Dear Graham, thank you for taking the time to leave a review however we are concerned with your comments.

On contacting our Diabetes Team, they advise that you with regards to repeat prescriptions you need to contact the doctor dealing with you directly at Glenfield Hospital.

Our other suggestion to help progress your prescriptions is to contact our Patient Information Liaison Service (PILS) who have access to patient records and can follow your concerns up directly with the department.

They are available on Tel. 08081 788337 they will just require your name, address, ideally hospital number and date of birth.

We hope this helps and again we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Kind regards, Communications Team, Leicester's Hospitals.
