"Fantastic Service"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was in A&E early this morning.

With chest pain.

9am.

I have been there a few years before and found the service poor.

Today was amazing.

I went to A&E.

I had a lovely member of staff do my obs.

They did the normal things ie. ECG, blood test sample, temperature, blood pressure.

I have to say they were lovely and thorough and thankfully didn’t need me to strip off for the ECG.

I think others should learn that it is not necessary to make women feel uncomfortable by having to remove their bra.

They put me at ease immediately.

Thankyou.

It was only about 20 minutes before I saw a doctor. They too were efficient and explained things to me clearly.

They didn’t think it was a cardiac issue but was happy to further investigate my problem.

Thankyou.

I was sent for an x Ray.

Again the member of staff was Brilliant and so did not in the slightest feel uncomfortable.

Thankyou.

Next I was sent to the Ambilatory Care Unot.

Minimal waiting time and all staff were lovely and I think I had about 4 different staff deal with me.

I had a Canula fitted and then awaited going for a CT scan.

A member of staff told me that the CT department had agreed to do the scan today. There was a minor hiccup when I had to go between the CT dept and reception but no biggy.

Overall every staff member I had contact with were fantastic .

That includes all staff from reception personnel to doctors and random staff who helped me when I as getting lost around the hospital.

What amazes me most was how all the departments seemed tonwto be working together as a team and made my experience so much less stressful.

I commend you all.

Thankyou all so very very much.

Deeply grateful here.

Well done all.

My only very slight negative is that in the ambulatory ward I was given information about my results in the waiting room where all could hear.

But I do understand that space and time probably makes that diffiicult.

And it was not a big deal to me, although could be to some.

Again Thankyou all so very very much and keep up the good work.
