"The excellent care at Langlands Hospital"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Elderly Medicine (Wards 51, 52, 54,55, 57, 8a & 2a)

(as a relative),

This is about the excellent and personal care of my relative at Langlands hospital ward 51 which is part of the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Glasgow.

I was very worried when my relative was admitted to ward 51. I can now assure other people relatives or patients.

I found the staff very helpful and attentive, the care given was exceptional. Even the sister of the ward was excellent in taking time to explain what was happening. I was not made to feel I was intruding and felt I could approach the staff at any time with concerns (I had none).

On returning home my relative had only good experiences to talk about. We are very grateful to all staff and sister of the ward for making her stay a positive and reassuring experience. Can't thank them enough.

Dear Molly25

Thank you very much for taking the time to post on Care Opinion.

I am so pleased to read about your relative’s experience in Ward 51. Being in hospital can be a very anxious and worrying time for patients and their families, and I am glad that the staff made your relative’s stay a positive and reassuring experience and that the staff were helpful and attentive.

I will make sure that your post shared with the staff at Ward 53. They will be delighted to receive your feedback.

I hope that your relative is doing well.

Best wishes

Nicole

Dear Molly25

On behalf of myself and the ward team, we would like to thank you for the taking the time to give us your kind comments and positive feedback regarding your loved one's stay with ourselves. We are delighted this was a positive experience for you both as we know a hospital admission can be very distressing for patients and families alike. It is good to know we are getting it right and will continue doing so.

Kind regards

Louise McQuade

Senior Charge Nurse - Ward 51
