"Absolutely appalling!"

A family member who had been left with no mental health worker for a month due to the one she was seeing leaving; it took too long and many phone calls to beg them for another as her mental health is not good; she has a diagnosis that requires necessary intervention of the mental health team and was left with no one.

When they did finally set someone to see her as her worker; the worker did not turn up for the appointment; then they spoke to me awfully when I rang to say we had been waiting for 45 mins for them; my family member getting more anxious in that time; and they told me I wasn't meant to be there to support my family member as she is over 18!

They obviously had not read her files and her needs; and furthermore had no intention of being at her initial appointment as told me even though I said my family member was holding on for this appointment they would not come back to the appointment venue to see her and also accused me of shouting and 'would not talk to me' hanging up on me. Several other things were said by them which I find very unhelpful and I cannot believe they have such people working with vulnerable people!

Am absolutely horrified by all this and had me in tears by the end of it.

such a let down of service that takes a lot of people to seek help from yet this happens!

Waiting to see if my family member will get a much needed decent mental health worker!
