I went in for a hip replacement which was carried out in the late afternoon. I was introduced to my named nurse and a couple of assistants before the surgery and my care from these people was terrific. I was never in doubt about what was happening or why they were doing something. Physiotherapists arrived the next day and I went daily to the hydrotherapy pool for exercise.
My room was kept impeccably clean, linen changed daily and my visitors offered tea ,coffee as appropriate.
I felt my rate of recovery was vastly improved by the nursing care and the discharge process was very efficient with drugs, injections and stockings all ready and labelled with contact details in case of problems. Follow up emai from the consultant secretary was a nice efficient touch.
The only downside ,the food was poor still I had plenty to lose !
"Very efficient and very nice staff"
