"Car parking"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Diabetic medicine

Any hospital that puts in a parking eye company rather than barrier parking doesn’t care for their patients. I paid the highest parking fee I’ve paid for an hour to start with but then the appointment ran over and the last thing I thought of was running out to top up my parking and miss my already late appointment. £70 charge for an extra 15 mins. The company discourages any easy way of sorting any issues. Totally disgusted and understand why so many park in the surrounding streets. Hospital is stressful enough without worrying about high charges. Shame on you sunderland hospital, I feel like you’re taking advantage of upset people.

Thank you for your comments and I am sorry that this situation has caused you upset. As the parking system works on vehicle registration recognition, you can pay for your parking following your appointment / visit so that you can ensure your are only paying for the time that you park.
