My son got sectioned and was delusional and paranoid about everyone and as a family we felt this was the best place for him. He was in there 2/3 weeks and was getting worse. Without going into too much detail they decided he was suffering from a little bit of stress, a panel meeting was held and no family was invited to it. Now he’s out of there he has a home treatment team and an early intervention team working, none of these can see how much he’s deteriorated and still seem to think he’s a little stressed and doesn’t need meds. He is now displaying symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia and they are happy to leave him walking around like this. How can professionals not notice how bad he actually is when everybody else can see it? Does he really have to harm himself or someone else to get proper help? Who do I turn to to get him this help? All of these questions I shouldn’t be asking after a home assessment was done to get him sectioned in the first place. I have complained to the hospital once and not a thing has changed.....what a joke of a place!!!!
