Started suffering severe idiopathic angioedema 12 months ago, went to see a doctor and was taken off my anti depressants with them sayin that was the cause.
Suffered severe withdrawals from being taken off meds.
Eventually sent to salford hospital to see a specialist to be told my angioedema has no known cause.
Eventually put back on my anti depressants after having a breakdown and trying to kill myself.
Suffered severe angioedema attacks weekly lasting 2/3 days at a time involving throat, tongue, face, lips, feet and genital area.
Few weeks ago saw the visiting pharmacist at the surgery only to be told my condition is rare and life threatening and they could not believe i had not been prescribed an epipen by the surgery for my condition.
Two weeks ago went to see a doctor there as i have just had to start claiming UC and have been told by jobcentre im unemployable due to my angioedema so go get a sick note from doctor for it.
The doctor refused to issue me a sick note for my angioedema stating thats what anti hystamenes are for.
I stated i take liquid piriton twice daily and it does not stop the attacks.
My voice fell on deaf ears with this doctor and they issued me with a two weeks sick note for anxiety and depression.
So all in all with this surgery i was never issued with an epipen in case of a life threatening angioedema attack, a doctor who completelly stopped my anti depressant meds that id been on for a number of years, and another doctor who point blank refuses to listen to me when i told her that anti hystamenes dont prevent an attack of my angioedema.
Many failures within this surgery
