"Appalled"

I attended the practice with my husband yesterday to see a GP following a trip to A&E earlier in the day after my husband suffered a neck injury. The A&E doctors were very helpful and advised my husband to get a follow up appointment with the GP for a referral to physio as there were concerns as to the extent of the injury and whether and MRI scan would be required following an inconclusive xray taken at the A&E department. We were thrilled to get a GP appointment on the same day, however, the doctor that we saw was very rude and refused to do the referral to physio and said we were "wasting time". They said they would consider the referral in 4 weeks time if my husband is still in pain and prescribed some very strong painkillers and gave no direction on how to take them. They didn't even examine my husband!! I cannot get over how rude and unprofessional this doctor was, needless to say I am considering contacting CQC and the GMC to report this doctor. My husband will definitely be moving to another GP practice!
