(as the patient),

I have been in ward 302 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for a procedure and I was blown away by all the staff.

From the nurses, HCSW’s, surgeon, the anaesthetist and theatre nurses, I was looked after above and beyond my expectations.

They seemed to sense I was nervous and being asked randomly by the anaesthetist if I knew who Acker Bilt was (I did know), took my mind off what was next. I couldn’t have asked for more.

In a very busy NHS, they showed compassion, time and patient centred care which is of the highest standard. 

I cannot thank them enough for my care.

I am very glad to hear that you found the care given to you to be compassionate and person centred as well as being of a high standard. I shall ensure SCN Gourlay of ward 302 and our surgical team, including all theatre staff, are aware of your feedback which will mean a great deal to them.

We continually strive to improve our services to ensure we deliver person centred care in a professional and compassionate manner. It is very good to hear from our patients that we are delivering just that, so thank you once again for sharing your experience on Care Opinion.
